How to create a Pokémon ID Player:

To get a Player ID (also known as a Play! Pokémon ID) for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, you simply need to create a Pokémon Trainer Club account on the official website and opt into the Play! Pokémon program.

Follow these quick steps:

  1. Go to the official Pokémon website and sign up for or log in to your Pokémon Trainer Club account. Click here to get to Pokémon Trainer Club
  2. From the menu on the left side of your dashboard, click on Play! Pokémon Settings.
  3. In the Play! Pokémon Account section, select the option to assign me a new Player ID number.
  4. Accept the Terms of Use and click Submit.

Your unique 7-digit Player ID will immediately appear in the Play! Pokémon Settings section of your profile. You can use this ID to track your Championship Points and register for local, in-person tournaments.
